University of Stirling Open Day, June 2017: What You Said

On Saturday 17 June 2017, we welcomed a whole bunch of nice folks to campus for our first Open Day of the year. Presentations, campus tours and seriously good weather brought out the masses – so what did our visitors think of our Open Day? Here’s what a few of them had to say about UofS.

Jamie-Lee, interested in studying Film and Media

Jamie-Lee

“I want to find out more about the University and see if I get that gut feeling that this is the place I want to go to. My first impressions are that it’s not as intimidating as I thought it might be. I love the greenery – just the kind of place I want to be.”

“I want to find out more about the different subjects and what it’s like here – I really like it and there’s a lot of activities to get involved in.”

Nicola and Lucia, all the way from Italy

“I came here to find a very multicultural university, to find study abroad opportunities, meet new people – and move away from home! Are you Stirling? I thought… Yeah!”

“I want to get a good level of experience through my course and hopefully find a job! Stirling seems like a good environment and I can get an international experience.”

Dawn from Morpeth, finding out about Social Work

Dawn

“Stirling seems very nice – it’s big and spacious and it’s been really easy to talk to everyone. It’s great to listen to students who have been here and find out about their experiences.”

Sport for James from Northern Ireland

James

“I’m attracted to Stirling because of the sporting facilities – it’s top in Scotland for Sport. I’m hoping to find out if can get into the Sport Studies programme and can play water polo. The combined degree really interests me because it would give me more freedom.”

Feeling inspired? There’s still time to register for our next Open Days in 2017, in September and October.
