Getting to Stirling

You did it! You’ve secured an offer and it’s almost time to join us here at the University of Stirling. We’re so excited to welcome you onto campus…but how do you get here? We have put together some essential pre-arrival information to help you with your journey to campus. Let’s get into it!

Our beautiful campus is just two miles from the centre of Stirling in central Scotland. We’ve got great transport links from Glasgow and Edinburgh, and are easily accessible by bus, foot and bike from Stirling city centre or Bridge of Allan.

Arriving by plane:

The closest airports to Stirling are Glasgow Airport and Edinburgh Airport. Glasgow Airport is a 1-hour drive to campus, and Edinburgh Airport is a 45-minute drive.

Airport collection:

Arriving by air? We’ve partnered with Stirling Taxis to offer a discounted airport collection service. Fill in this online form and Stirling Taxis will contact you to confirm arrangements.

Arriving by train:

There are two stations near campus: Stirling Station and Bridge of Allan Station. From there, you can reach us via bus, taxi or by walking. You can find information about fares and times on Scotrail or Trainline.

Arriving by bus:

We’re well-served by Scotland’s coach network. Visit Traveline Scotland to plan your journey. When your coach gets to Stirling, you can reach campus via bus, taxi or by walking.

Arriving by train:

If you’re travelling by train or coach, you can get to campus via bus, taxi, or on foot. You can find bus timetable information here or book a taxi here. It takes 30-40 minutes to walk to campus. Check our website for walking instructions.
