While many of you may travel away from Stirling during the holiday period, we know that some of you may choose to stay on or near campus. As the University will be closed from Wednesday 23 December 2020 to Tuesday 5 January 2021 (inclusive), we have put together a list of all services available on campus during this period.
Library and IT
As a number of students will be remaining on campus over the coming holiday period, Information Services will be keeping the library open over the festive period.
The library will be available for study and the ‘click and collect’ service will be in operation for print materials. Please note, due to Government restrictions, physical browsing of the library collection will not be permitted and study spaces should be booked in advance (please book here, or through the University of Stirling app). Masks/face coverings should be worn in the library.
No booking is required for access to level two of the library – for library support or IT assistance, printing services, access to quick PCs or Lapsafe laptops. For further details and library opening hours, please visit the webpage.

Accommodation Operations Assistants
From 7pm on 23 December 2020 to 7am on 5 January 2021, Accommodation Services’ Accommodation Operations Assistants (AOAs) will continue to provide 24 hour cover to all residences and will be based in the following locations to support students, answer questions, assist with faults and maintain security:

Students can contact the AOAs by visiting the receptions, emailing or calling the numbers above where they’ll be happy to help with welfare needs, maintenance issues and security. In the event of an emergency please call University Security on 01786 467999.
The Accommodation Services Admin team, based in Willow Court, will be available on the following dates:

Our Housekeeping team will be working on the same days as the Admin team and will be concentrating on common areas, laundries and stairwells. They won’t be entering bedrooms on the above dates.
There will be some changes to the opening hours of catering outlets across campus during the festive season. Catering outlets are opened as follows:

A takeaway and delivery service will be in operation for Scran and Refresh from 26 December. Please note that the remaining catering outlets on campus are currently closed due to Covid-19.
Both the online and Atrium shop will take a festive break from Friday 18 December 2020 at 4pm. The Atrium shop will remain closed until Covid-19 restrictions lift. The online shop will reopen on Monday 11 January 2021. All online orders placed after 4pm on Thursday 17 December 2020 will not be fulfilled until Monday 11 January.
The Students’ Union continues to provide services remotely. It begins its festive break from 5pm on Friday 18th December running until 9am on Tuesday 5th January 2021. Should students have need to contact someone at the Union in this time, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
When it comes to the Sports Centre*, festive opening hours apply on 23 December and 24 December, and will reopen when Government restrictions are lifted. For more information visit the Sports webpages. The festive opening hours are as follows:
